Want to be a driving instructor?

Would you enjoy being an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)?

When you are considering a significant career change, it is important to give some serious thought as to whether or not it will suit your abilities, your lifestyle and your aspirations – particularly if you are going to have to invest in training. So before you look too much further into potentially becoming a driving instructor, ask yourself these following questions:

  • Would you like to be your own boss?
  • Would you like to work the hours you choose?
  • Would you like to work in a secure, recession proof industry?
  • Would you enjoy teaching people a valuable life skill?
  • Would you like to get great job satisfaction?

If you can answer ‘yes’ to all of the above then being a driving instructor is likely to be a job you would love. But it’s not for everybody. In order to be a successful instructor, you also need to consider these questions:

  • Are you a disciplined and organised person?
  • Do you enjoy meeting new people?
  • Are you calm, patient and understanding?
  • Are you a good communicator?
  • Do you enjoy challenges and problem solving?

Still answering ‘yes’? Great. Watch the videos on this site and download our FREE ADI Career Guide to find out much more about how to become one of the country’s top driver trainers.
